Today marks the final day of your unforgettable stay at Tau Game Lodge, Madikwe Game Reserve. You’ll begin with an early morning game drive, offering one last opportunity to witness the magic of the Madikwe wilderness.
After the drive, enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, soaking in the serene surroundings. Around 11:00 AM, your driver/guide will meet you at the reception for your scheduled checkout and transfer.
You’ll then be comfortably driven back to OR Tambo International Airport or your surrounding hotel, carrying with you the memories of a truly special safari experience.

Tau Game Lodge
Privately owned Tau Game Lodge is situated in the Big 5 Malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve. Accessible by daily scheduled flights or a 4-hour drive from Johannesburg. The main Lodge facilities comprise a spacious reception, an indoor dining area with bar, and a terrace that serves as the “front seat” in the theatre of wildlife, overlooking all the activities at the busy waterhole. The 30 chalets at Tau are privately situated in pristine, indigenous gardens and embrace the spirit of Africa with modern luxury and unsurpassed vistas of the bush and the natural waterhole. At the Spa Oasis, guests are offered rejuvenating spa treatments, surrounded by the beauty of the African Bush. The viewing lounge, situated close to the infinity pool, offers close views on elephants approaching a freshwater drinking point and the curio shop situated near the reception entrance offers a variety of souvenirs and artefacts. The Conference facilities are situated at walking distance from the Lodge and can seat up to 60 delegates. Families with children of all ages are welcome at Tau Game Lodge. Children of 6 years and older can join the adults’ safaris.
