Activities: Morning & Afternoon Game Drives
Game drives are driven in open-sided 4×4 vehicle.
Getting around from JHB to the Lodge will be in a Private Vehicle or Minivan ( Depending on the number of passengers).
A private transfer from and back to the airport (or hotel) is included.
Walking Safari with your Safari Ranger.

Guests of Kaingo are treated to exciting game viewing under the expert guidance of a qualified field guide.

Your private road transfer from the airport or your hotel to Kaingo Private Reserve will be done by Mr Shuttle.

There is significant history to the reserve which is home to five recorded rock art sites. These rock art sites date back more than 1,000 years and depict the spiritual beliefs and lives of the San, Khoi and the Pedi people that lived in this area until 100 years ago. This makes Kaingo not only a leading destination for an African experience, but a national treasure in terms of heritage.

Accommodation & Meals

Reminiscent of a traditional African safari camp, Kaingo Elephant Lodge offers a luxurious safari accommodation experience. Built from natural stone with thatch roofs, the lodge has an olde worlde-Africa atmosphere while being completely contemporary.

Just 28 guests in total can be accommodated at Elephant Lodge, with the focus on personal attention, superb service and complete comfort.

Arrival

You’ll be collected from the airport (or hotel).
Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.

Day 1

On your First day of your Tour you will be met by your Mr Shuttle Guide at OR Tambo International Airport or your Hotel in JHB/Sandton. The guide will do one Comfort stop for you on the way to Kaingo Game Reserve.

Upon arrival at the Lodge (depends on time) your Mr Shuttle guide will assist you with Checking in at the Lodge Reception after check-in you will have Lunch that is served at 13h00.

After Lunch you will settle and enjoy the spectacular views around the Elephant Lodge. Your Evening Game Drive Takes place at 16h30 and returns at 19h30. A selection of drinks, including beer, wine and soft drinks are included on the evening game drive, sundowner stop. Dinner will follow after the evening game drive.

Extra Activities include cruising on the Mokolo River, Guided Bush walks and viewing of African rock art.

Day 2

Full Day at Elephant Lodge, Kaingo Private Game Reserve

Your full day at Elephant Lodge will start with a early morning wake up call at 05h00 in the morning for your first Morning Game drive. Before departure of the game drive you will get to enjoy some Coffee, Tea and Snacks and the game drive departs at 06h00.

08h30 the Game drive returns and then Breakfast is served, where after you will enjoy a little leisure time at the Lodge. Extra Activities such as;
• Bush walks
• Bird watching
• River cruise
• Bush breakfasts
• Bush dinners
• River walks, Safari lunches
• Fishing
• Boma dinners
• Bushman rock art
• Botanical routes.

After a few hours of Leisure you will head off to your last adventurous evening game drive at 16h30 and you will enjoy a true african sunset with some sundowners at the sundown stop.

Dinner will follow after arrival at the Lodge at 19h00 after your game drive.

Day 3

Game Drive & Breakfast in the AM and Departure to JHB

This is sadly the last few hours of your enjoyable trip! You will wake once again at 05h00 with a call from your ranger and meet up for some Coffee, Tea and Snacks before going on your last early morning sunrise.

After returning from your Game Drive, breakfast will be served and Check-Out to follow at 11h00.

Your Mr Shuttle Driver/Guide will meet you at the Lodge Reception for your transfer back to the Airport or Hotel in JHB/Sandton. One comfort stop will be made along the way.
